On Obly.com, where you can get plenty of home inspiration and find the best designers, architects and building professionals for your remodeling plans, a (bathroom) project is regularly spotlighted. This time it’s about a clever design for a relatively small bathroom. With a limited space of only 3.15 x 2.21 meters, these residents managed to make the best use of the bathroom, also thanks to the expert advice of Jan van Sundert in Etten-Leur. The absence of a bathtub, a conscious choice, gave room for a generous walk-in shower, a floating toilet, a bathroom cabinet and a stylish design radiator. Thanks to this thoughtful approach and Jan Van Sundert ‘s expert advice, this design is a perfect example of smart space utilization and contemporary design.
Do you have plans to renovate your bathroom or kitchen? Then include the radiators in the overall picture. Even if you have underfloor heating! Because a design radiator is perfect as additional heating, especially in the bathroom! Moreover, design radiators come in all shapes, sizes and colors and you can match them to your style, even if you have a smaller room. But read on! Because below we like to give you some tips to make a relatively small bathroom look bigger:
- Place one large mirror on the bathroom wall. This not only reflects more light, but also creates the illusion of a larger space. In this bathroom, a large oval mirror is installed with mood lighting.
- A stylish “floating” bathroom cabinet was chosen for this bathroom. This opens up the floor space and creates a sense of space.
If you have a shower stall or a walk-in shower like here, consider a transparent shower enclosure or a glass shower enclosure. In this bathroom, a trendy glass wall was installed with a black frame which in turn pairs well with the black faucets of the shower, sink and design radiator. - Use large tiles on the floor and walls instead of small tiles. This minimizes grouting and gives a feeling of a larger, more cohesive space. Plus, there is less cleaning work because there are simply fewer grout lines!
These residents were completely satisfied with the final result of the bathroom, which came about through the pleasant cooperation with professionals such as Van Sundert and Instamat, among others.
